Character Design: It's A-Live One-day Project

As a group, we were tasked with inventing a Mentor character, along with a Super Villian and a sidekick for a kids T.V program called 'Miraculous'. The Plot goes that inter-dimensional space beings called Akumas inhabit humans and turn them good or evil. The Protagonists 'Ladybug' and 'Cat Noir' are matched up against a new Villain bent on destruction each episode who is under the control of the mastermind Hawk Moth, who is trying to steal their Akumas.

First up is the Mentor, she's now a retired heroine working as an art teacher. She teaches crafts from scavenged materials and is themed around a Racoon.

Her environment naturally is a reflection of her personality, an art room filled with the oddities she's collected, for repurposing into her love of artistic creation.

Her Akuma is also racoon themed due to the human embodying the traits associated with the Akuma,

The akumas environment is much like its closen human, it's a scavenger who covets things for hoarding.

The Super Villain, a professional trainer that's simply too intense for his clients to stick around has lost his business and is mad at the world.

Initial designs worked on posing for the character here:

His natural den is an out of the way scrap yard, living out of a garage filled with his one true love, his weights. His environment is a physical representation of his destructive personality, a man living amongst broken wreckages.

Concept art for the environment includes:

The Akuma which he embodies is called Kraxx, a jumped up pip-squeak who will fight anything he can to prove a point.
